Yoenis Cespedes left Monday night’s game after his at-bat in the fifth inning. There was no apparent injury, but the left fielder was seen talking to head trainer Ray Ramirez before the top of the inning. The team had no immediate information on why Cespedes left the game.

Monday was Cespedes’ second start back after missing 37 games with a strained left hamstring. The Mets were leading 4-0 when Cespedes left and the Mets have often put in Juan Lagares as a defensive substitute, but not that early.

Cespedes was limping as he walked from the dugout and down the stairs to head into the clubhouse.
