Yankees GM Brian Cashman discussed some of the team’s injuries while on “The Michael Kay show” on Friday, including Adam Warren, Greg Bird and Aroldis Chapman.

Warren (trap) is going on the disabled list, according to Cashman. Kyle Higashioka and Mason Williams will be summoned from Triple-A Scranton. Gary Sanchez, who had tightness in his abductor muscle, and Aaron Hicks (Achilles) were both hurt during Thursday night’s 10-inning loss to the A’s.

Bird (knee, ankle) had a CT scan and MRI on Friday and will see specialist Dr. Bob Anderson in North Carolina for another opinion. Bird’s minor-league rehab, where he had been struggling, has been shut down.

Chapman (rotator cuff), on the other hand, is expected to be activated Sunday after pitching Friday with Double-A Trenton, the GM said.

Cashman added that Chris Carter right now is the best option at first base and said the team’s intention is to start Luis Cessa and move Masahiro Tanaka back to Sunday.

Asked about the potential of top prospect Gleyber Torres being promoted from Triple-A, Cashman said fellow prospect Tyler Wade would get the call right now if there is a need.
