New York’s finest can ball, too.

In a video posted by the NYPD official Twitter account, an officer is seen interacting with kids near a basketball court in the 50th precinct in the Bronx when he decides to join in on the fun.

The policeman, identified in the tweet as Officer James, is given a basketball on the sidewalk behind the fence of the park.

One of the kids can be heard telling the officer, “if you miss you give me a dollar.”

Officer James tells him “no betting” then chucks up the ball and hits nothing but net–setting off surprise and celebration from everyone watching.

Perhaps he knew the kid was making a losing bet.
