Phelps ended up making his fifth Olympics after winning the 200-meter butterfly at the trials in Omaha, Nebraska with a time of 1:54.84. Apparently the athlete was also on pace to break his own world record time of 1:51.51 until he slowed down with about 100 meters left to go. Maybe he’s saving that juice for the big stage!

Not only does the father of one already own the most medals in the HISTORY of the Olympics with 22, and most gold medals with 18, but it’s his birthday today too! Talk about a celebration!

The studly swimmer is set to compete in two more events at the trials — the 200 meter individual medley and the 100 meter butterfly. If everything works out perfectly, Michael could end up walking home with six MORE medals in Rio!

What do you think of Phelps’ AH-Mazing accomplishments?!
