Frank Ocean may have made fans wait four years for some new music, but now the R&B sensation is answering the prayers of social media users around the globe.
The “Thinkin Bout You” singer released another new track to Apple Music on Saturday, called “Nikes” along with an emotional music video.
It is unclear if “Nikes” is off the upcoming album, but fans on social media are just elated to have more tracks from the 28-year-old New Orleans’ born songwriter.
Frank Ocean is ready to give you what you want. The singer/songwriter finally released a new track to Apple Music on Saturday — but still no full album.
“Nikes is the best song I’ve heard this year, Frank Ocean is a blessing,” one Twitter user wrote.
Others called it “beautiful,” “striking” and “astounding.”
In the artfully crafted video, Ocean is covered in glitter in one shot and set on fire in another. He also holds up an image of Trayvon Martin, while fellow rapper A$AP Rocky holding up a photo of A$AP Yams — who died from an accidental overdose last year.
Frank Ocean is set on fire in his new video for his latest track, “Nikes.”
The various others images from the video show naked men and women in various scenarios — including two men in a sea of cash.
The new track, plus video, comes just 24 hours after Ocean debuted a full visual album, titled “Endless.”
However, neither is his full sophomore album fans have been anticipating, which was originally slated to be named “Boys Don’t Cry.” It is reported that it will now be released under a different title this weekend.
