Up comes Frazier!

The Yankees will call up their No. 2 prospect, Clint Frazier, for Saturday’s game in Houston, a source confirmed to the Daily News.

Joe Girardi had said the Yankees were considering calling up the tantalizing 22-year-old outfield prospect prior to Friday night’s game.

Cliont Frazier has posted an .819 OPS in 73 games at Triple-A Scranton, with 12 homers and 42 RBIs.

Frazier received the phone call after the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders’ game against the Pawtucket Red Sox was suspended in the third inning.

He has been a lightning rod for criticism. His long red locks certainly caused controversy during the spring. Frazier is currently hitting .257 with 12 home runs and 42 RBI through 73 games in Triple-A.
