American Pie Singer Don McLean Pleads Guilty To Assaulting His Wife

Don McLean is owning up to his atrocious actions.

On Thursday, the American Pie singer pleaded guilty to domestic violence against his now-estranged wife, Patrisha. The musician was arrested back in January, after he got violent during altercation at their home.

At the time, the singer’s former flame described the scary attack, saying her husband grabbed her head and “squeezed as though my head were in a vice.”

So awful.

But, after all that, the artist won’t face any jail time. Instead, Don’s lawyer explains he’ll be slapped with a $3,000 fine as long as he behaves himself for a year.

In March, the Maine resident’s wife filed for divorce after 30 years of marriage, citing “adultery, cruel and abusive treatment, and irreconcilable differences.”
