Recording what is considered one of the pinnacle live albums ever made, Johnny Cash became a hero with inmates housed at Folsom Prison in California when he performed live in front of them on Jan. 13, 1968. Despite being synonymous with the prison, The Man in Black was never actually housed there as an inmate.
